Lori Miarecki
Lori Miarecki is the co-owner of the Cherry Tree Inn Bed & Breakfast, a historic Victorian B&B in Woodstock, Illinois, famous among fans as the house where Bill Murray’s character stayed in the 1993 film Groundhog Day. Lori and her husband, George, bought the property in 2017 after falling in love with it on a visit and reopened it as a full-service bed & breakfast that same year.
Lori grew up passionate about hospitality and cooking, and she and George are award-winning cooks who bring that enthusiasm to the inn’s acclaimed breakfasts and guest experience. Under her stewardship, the Cherry Tree Inn has become a beloved destination for travelers, film fans, and those seeking small-town hospitality, often fully booked years in advance—especially during Woodstock’s annual Groundhog Days celebration.
